how do i paint realistic looking headlights

Hi All, i am working on a 1994 crown vic police cruiser. I stripped the grill to paint the grill part flat black and now am stuck with the dilema of how to paint a somewhat good looking headlight. The headlights are now a flat dull grey/green plastic. any advice???I appreciate your suggestions. thanks, Bob
